An Evening at Crave Kitchen with Pete’s Press

May 10th, 2026

This past Saturday, May 9th, held a celebration of literature; a book launch at Crave Kitchen and Wine Bar in Regina, SK. The launch celebrated the work of three writers and the spring line hot off Pete’s Press; Rob White’s I Have Dreams Where I am Drowning, Kat Gilks’s Firstborn Daughter and Glen Harper’s The Homeless: A Personal Journey of Discovery. You can find their offerings on the Pete’s Press website! Attendance was good and the event was great, complete with a social period, fancy cocktails, and a “very green cake” courtesy of Pete’s Press’s own Annabel Townsend.

Three years ago I had the pleasure of having my own book launch at Annabel’s Penny University bookstore, so being a part of the crowd at the Pete’s Press event felt like a very full circle moment. Even after hearing only snippets of the presented works, I would highly recommend the works of all three of the authors.
